About the event
A women’s group can be a place to discover where we belong - like a circle of women of old- where we dive into our psychological, emotional, and spiritual depths and find gold… in the same way that we find treasures in the fairytales.
From January - November 2024, I will be holding space in London on Saturday mornings for a small group of women to gather. This might be for you if you answer yes to any of the following:
- Are you exhausted by a life spent Doing, want to step off the hamster wheel but don’t know how?
- Would you like to just BE in your life, but find that experience rather elusive?
- Do you find yourself pulled in the direction of what you “should” do, and find it difficult to know what it is you truly wish for?
- Are you hungry for more depth, delight and connection in your life?
- Are you curious to discover what it would be like to live from the inside out?
As a woman, how challenging it is to find ourselves and grow into our full womanhood in a world that is openly misogynistic, objectifying and sexualising of that which we are becoming. How we wrestle to conform with the ludicrous cultural expectations of beauty, achievement and social compliance, whilst feeling like we are nothing but flawed. How can we make connection with our deeper Self beneath the layers of conformity? How can we make the space to sit down with ourselves when that same world demands that we take care of everyone else in it?
In her book, Crown of Age, Jungian analyst Marion Woodman says that we have to find our own pattern in life by surrendering to an energy that is much stronger than our ego. If we can surrender to the mystery, then we discover a place that she describes as the “I am” – the place where we know our value and our true feelings and we take ourselves seriously.
We discover the world where we belong rather than trying to belong to the world that we may find ourselves in.

“Sorting the seeds is a daily process of ruthless honesty that allows us grain by grain to discover our Being….this is a monumental task when we have spent our lives Doing, especially when Doing has become an escape from Being because Being is experienced as nothingness.”
Marion Woodman
What would “a daily process of ruthless honesty that allows us grain by grain to discover our Being” look like and feel like for you?
In order for us to find ourselves, we need good company. This is the wisdom of a group. It is a place where you can lay out your seeds and others are willing to sort them with you; to listen, to support, to hear your stories and share their own.
If you would like to spend dedicated time on yourself, talking, journalling, making art, meditating, moving and building practices to sustain you, then I warmly welcome you to a conversation to explore together if this group is for you. You can drop me a line at sandra@sandrahiltontherapy.co.uk or call me on 07746402104 to arrange a time.
